What User Data We Collect

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the blog, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Newsletter

If you would like to receive our newsletter, we require a valid email address and the first name. Further data is not collected. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and will never pass it on to third parties. We use Mailerlite to manage our email marketing subscriber list and to send emails to our subscribers. Mailerlite is a third-party provider, which may collect and process your data using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the end of each newsletter.

Cookies

Once you agree to allow our website to use cookies, you also agree to use the data it collects regarding your online behaviour (analyse web traffic, web pages you spend the most time on, and websites you visit). The data we collect by using cookies is used to customise our website to your needs. After we use the data for statistical analysis, the data is completely removed from our systems.
